“By service consequence rather than documented data, this programme ranks well above its position here.”— PrideShow Editorial Board
AHF Thailand delivers HIV prevention, treatment and care for key populations — men who have sex with men, transgender women and sex workers — the groups carrying the heaviest burden of Thailand's epidemic.
Its work is the least abstract in this table. HIV outcomes among Thai key populations are a direct function of whether testing, PrEP and treatment are available without stigma, and organisations delivering that care are the difference between a manageable diagnosis and a fatal one.
Ninth at 63 points. The scoring here reflects documented organisational data rather than clinical impact — a limitation of this index worth stating plainly, since by service consequence AHF's Thai programme ranks considerably higher than its position suggests.
