Our story

Why we built this

In January 2025 Thailand became the first country in Southeast Asia to legalise marriage equality. Within a week, every major Thai brand had posted a rainbow logo. Within a month, the question had shifted: who do we actually spend with?

The answer was embarrassing. There was no national registry of LGBTQ+-owned businesses, no verified score for which SET-listed companies actually walked the talk on DEI, and no canonical directory of the community groups, creators, and NGOs doing the real work.

So we built one. PrideShow is four interlocking directories — PLCs, NGOs, SMEs, and KOLs — plus an events calendar, an ESG score, a creator index, and a PDPA-aligned claims system. Every profile can be claimed by its verified owner; every score is transparent and refreshed quarterly; every transaction happens directly between the parties.

We host PrideShow, the region's first full-scale LGBTQ+ business festival, at BITEC each year, in partnership with TCEB and TAT.

How we operate

  • Transparent scoring

    Every ranking — ESG, PrideScore, CBaaS — publishes the weights and the raw inputs. No paid placements.

  • PDPA-aligned by default

    Thailand data protection law is the floor, not the ceiling. Account deletion, data export, and granular consent are one click away in /dashboard/privacy.

  • Community-verified

    Every LGBTBE and CBaaS claim is reviewed by a mixed panel (staff + community representatives + at least one NGO partner).

  • Local first, regional next

    Thailand is home base. We expand to Vietnam, the Philippines, and Taiwan only once the local data is deep enough to be genuinely useful.

  • Revenue model disclosed

    Paid tiers, sponsorships, and data subscriptions are listed publicly. We never sell personal data.

  • Who operates PrideShow?
    PrideShow is operated by Messe Asia Co., Ltd., a Thai-registered events and platform company based in Bangkok. The platform is funded by Messe Asia and partner sponsorships; it does not sell user data or accept paid rankings.
  • How does PrideShow make money?
    Four streams: (1) SME and creator paid claim tiers for verified listings, (2) the PrideShow 2026 exhibitor floor and sponsorship packages, (3) ESG and Pink-Economy data subscriptions for investors and corporates, and (4) CBaaS facilitation fees charged to corporates for NGO-led training. Editorial rankings and FAQ content are never paid placements.
  • Is this an official Thai government programme?
    No. PrideShow is an independent private initiative. We work closely with TAT (Tourism Authority of Thailand) and TCEB (Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau) on the festival, and we align our compliance and taxonomy with Thai SEC 56-1 and PDPA, but the platform is not government-run.
  • Why does this exist?
    Thailand legalised marriage equality in 2025, and the Pink Economy is projected to exceed THB 350 billion by 2030. But sourcing verified LGBTQ+ suppliers, creators, and partners was still manual, fragmented, and vulnerable to rainbow-washing. PrideShow gives the ecosystem a single source of truth — verified ownership, scored ESG, claimable profiles — so corporate commitments can translate into real spend with real LGBTQ+-led businesses.
  • How is data verified?
    Ownership claims are verified through a four-step process: corporate registry lookup (DBD Thailand), domain and email proof, 1:1 video verification for LGBTBE applicants, and a public challenge window where the community can flag questionable claims before approval.
