Thai Airways International

Thai Airways International (THAI) is Thailand's national flag carrier, established on March 29, 1960. Initially a joint venture with Scandinavian Airlines System, it became fully owned by the Thai government in 1978. THAI was the first all-jet airline in Asia, launching its operations with five Caravelle SE-210 aircraft in 1966. Today, it connects travelers to over 90 destinations across 39 countries, showcasing Thai culture and hospitality.

The airline offers international and regional passenger flights, with a history of expanding long-haul routes to Asia, Europe, North America, and Australia. THAI also provides packaged tours through its Royal Orchid Holidays program and publishes the in-flight magazine SAWASDEE. The airline operates a fleet that includes advanced aircraft like the Boeing 747-200 and Boeing 747-400, focusing on premium service that reflects its "Smooth as Silk" branding.
